Definition of language
A country
- The system of communication in speech and writing that is used by people of a particular country or area
Movement/ symbols/ sound - A way of expressing ideas and feelings using movements, symbols and sound
Conclusion : Language is the method of human communication, either spoken or written, consisting of the use of words in a structured and conventional way
Concepts of language
According to Bloch and Trager (1942), language is defined as a system of vocal symbols used by humans to communicate. The process is applicable if the speakers and listeners communicate each others.
According G.Trager (1949), ( Hajar Abdul Aziz, 2008, pg. 52), language is a system of arbitrary vocal symbol that used by the members of society to communicate each others
COMMUNICATION
Communication is from the Latin word "communis",which means to share. Communication is the process of sending and receiving information among people through the exchange of thoughts, messages, or information.

The communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the message of the sender.

Can be either via email, letter, message.
Can either be face-to-face communication, a conversation over the phone or on the voice chat over the Internet. Spoken conversations or dialogs are influenced by voice modulation, pitch, volume and even the speed and clarity of speaking.
The effectiveness of written communication depends on the style of writing, vocabulary used, grammar, clarity and precision of language.

1. Advantages: Messages can be edited and revised many time before it is actually sent.
2. A written message enables receiver to fully understand it and send appropriate feedback. . Disadvantages: Written communication doesnt bring instant feedback. Take more time to compose a feedback.
Non verbal
Communication other than oral and written, such as gesture, body language, posture, tone of voice or facial expressions. Nonverbal communication is all about the body language of speaker.
