To put it very simply in summarywe wanted to know

Where do women work? i.e. what sectors What are their conditions of work? Barriers? etc. Identify and explore 1-2 market sectors in each
country potentially for decent work for women;

Identify good practice examples from each DMC; What needs to be done to expand their decent
work options? - Provide legal and policy recommendations

Conclusion
Important a DESK REVIEW based on available literature, not
original research

Brings together what is available in 1 document global best

practice in social & economic policy, and legislation; and country findings to see how the country measures up - added value industrial sectors

Continuing problem of lack of sex disaggregated data in various The presentations could not cover all the findings, only highlights.

We see further information from you which will enhance the quality
of the national report, and the regional synthesis/potential knowledge product

Thanks to all who were available to us during project

Questions for Group Discussion

Which sectors/subsectors could offer new or expanded decent employment and work for women? How could that be achieved? What constraints and opportunities do women as MSME entrepreneurs face? How could constraints be addressed or opportunities enhanced? What strategies could overcome gender stereotyping which limits womens access to certain occupations? Are there any examples of good policies and practices which have enhanced decent employment or work for women?
