Assessing Progress
• Scholastic Reading Inventory tests
– Assesses students’ reading level grades 1-12
– Should be taken 3 times a year
– Helps teacher match students with the correct
books based on their reading level
– Gives students a score in lexiles. The student’s
lexile score should match the lexile scores of the
books they are reading
