WARMA ORGANISATIONAL PLAN AND ITS IMPLICATIONS ON THE IWRMIS

 The IWRMIS should be supported by the structure within the project plan and within WRMA for continuity after the project A coordinated transparent approach is need amongst DWA, WRMA, GDC and cooperating partners at every stage There is need to learn on how ZRA and ZESCO have been managing their info system

Need for establishing catchment institutions reflecting the existing situations on the ground
Adopt a structure which could be supported by data users e.g ZRA One advantage with WRMA is that consultation with govt will be very minimal

Need for existing institutions to work with WRMA in data collection

 Cooperating partners are saying WRMA is currently not fully autonomous World bank e.g said they have money for WRMA but they are not using it There is need for collective design of WRMAs institutional structure

WRMA will receive full support once there is full transparency in the organization at every stage
The cooperating partners want to see a transparently defined structure at WRMA

By around July 31st the full structure of WRMA will be in place Step by step WRMA will be implementing basin management structures and employing the required personnel

 More and more concern was raised about the WRMA structure & the Board by the cooperating partners and the information has not been shared with the stakeholders This has in a way reduced stakeholder participation & support to WRMA Collaboration is highly required with all stakeholders at every stage The stages are going to be equipped very soon, how well will these stations be manned
