Session Description
This Round Robin session is geared towards both Senior Corps projects and AmeriCorps programs. With a focus on this overarching question: How do we build a team of volunteers, participants and/or members that are high performing, buyin to the bigger picture of National Service, maintain a strong programmatic identity, are committed for a period of time, and support one another, despite distance, resources, and other challenges that never go away?, participants at this round table will create a working definition of Esprit de Corps. From that definition, participants will discuss its importance, dialogue about challenges and explore and share ways to develop and maintain the agreed upon definition of Esprit de Corps.
Session Outcomes
Develop a common definition for Esprit de Corps; Discuss current challenges and limitations to achieving that agreed upon definition; and Share practices and resources that can support Esprit de Corps despite current limitations and challenges.
