are art forms that create works that are primarily visual in nature. are those creations we can look at, such as a drawing or a painting. include two-dimensional and three-dimensional arts.

FINE ARTS- Definition


A visual art considered to have been created primarily for aesthetic purposes and judged for its beauty and meaningfulness art for art's sake

FINE ARTS- Drawing

Defined as the linear realization of visual objects, concepts, emotions, and fantasies, including symbols and even abstract forms. Drawing is a graphic art which is characterized by an emphasis on form or shape.

FINE ARTS- Painting

The art of painting consists of the arrangement of shapes, lines, colors, tones and textures on a two-dimensional surface, thus creating an aesthetic image. Painting is the practice of applying paint, pigment, colour or other medium to a surface.

FINE ARTS- Printmaking

Printmaking is concerned with the production of images by varying methods of replication onto paper, parchment, fabric or other supports.

Sculpture is the branch of the visual arts that operates in three dimensions. Materials may be worked by removal such as carving; or they may be assembled such as by welding, hardened such as by firing, or molded or cast.
