Explanation
We would like to know the experiences with Road Safety Management (RSM) in your country.
Therefore you are requested to answer the questions on each slide and to present shortly the results to the next TIN-meeting in Romania. The goals are to exchange experiences and to learn of each other.

Do you have central (digital) databases of all accidents, including casualties over more than 3 years?
It is a digital data base for all accidents including serious accidents and slight accidents from 1999. The capacity of the data base is 500 000 accidents.
It is integrated data base which is use only for the use of profesional .
Main administrator is Traffic Police and four institution are responsible for the data which are deliver to the main administrator ; Traffic Police Road traffic accidents National Company for Motorway and National Roads Road network and traffic volume data; Road Romanian Authority Transport Operators data ` Romanian Vehicle Register Vehicles Data All the partners have accessibility to the data base, but are some limitation regarding the protection of the person identity;
What is the reliability of the data? Reliability of the data is between 70-80%. Is it possible to link the accidents at a (digital) road network? It is possible to link the accidents at a (digital) road network. Result are network maps with traffic accidents.
Are forecasts of traffic volumes available? Are not available forecast of traffic volumes inside the data base.

systematically?
Do you see obstructions to carry out analysis and measures
on large scale.
16
- Definition: Method to identify and rank locations of the total state network in operation according to the cost-benefit or costeffectiveness ratio.
- Goal: to reduce accidents by targeting remedial treatment to sections of the road network where accident cost reduction potential is highest.

18
In which way are projects prioritized: cost-benefit or costeffectiveness? Or otherwise? Is harmonization between design, function and intended use a part of
NSM?
Is Road Safety Inspection a part of NSM (differences between desired design and existing lay-out)?
