At current prices, the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh was US$ 141.0 billion in 2011-12.

Between 2004-05 and 2011-12, the average annual GSDP growth was 16.0 per cent.
This growth was mainly driven by the service and secondary sectors.

According to the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, the cumulative FDI inflows from April 2000 to January 2012 amounted to US$ 6.7 billion. The state has had a healthy FDI inflow over the years. For the period April 2011 to January 2012, FDI inflows amounted to US$ 779 million. In 2011-12, the total outstanding investments in the state were US$ 946.8 billion.
