COMPANY POLICIES

Your policy shouldnt be a wholly negative affair. Obviously, it needs to set out the rules for your employees online behavior. But it should also stress how, used properly, the Internet can really improve the way you do business even for something as simple as buying train tickets.

POLICY ON CUSTOMER PRIVACY

Use of Personal Information. Personal information, including names, addresses, and personal opinions, may be retained by Marketing Call Centers, or Customer Service and Warranty Call Centers for any of the following purposes:
to assist callers with obtaining marketing information; to assist callers with customer or product issues; to evaluate callers experiences with marketing programs, products, service, and sales; to comply with any requirement of law or request of a governmental authority; to return calls or follow-up with third parties to provide the caller with assistance; to keep an accurate record of calls; to train employees and improve service; and any other specific purpose explained to the caller.

POLICY ON WORK HABITS


1. MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE WHEN ON THE JOB. 2. RESOLVE PROBLEMS THROUGH POSITIVE STEPS. COMPLAINING AND WHINING ARE INEFFECTUAL AND BURDENSOME 3. BE DEPENDABLE. ARRIVE ON TIME AND WORK YOUR FULL ALLOTMENT OF HOURS. 4. GIVE NOTICE TO YOUR SUPERVISOR WELL IN ADVANCE OF ANY ABSENCES. ARRANGE SUBSTITUTES, IF NECESSARY. 5. BE WILLING TO PERFORM ALL FUNCTIONS OF YOUR JOB, INCLUDING THOSE THAT ARE BORING OR UNDESIRABLE. 6. RECOGNIZE THAT YOUR DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS THROUGH GROUP EFFORT AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR SHARE.

7. WHEN YOU ARE IN DOUBT AS TO HOW TO PERFORM ANY ASPECT OF A JOB THAT YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED, ASK FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTION. 8. PERFORM YOUR JOB EFFICIENTLY AND KEEP THE GOALS OF THE DEPARTMENT IN MIND.

9. TAKE INITIATIVE. BE AWARE AND RESPONSIVE TO THE NEEDS OF YOUR DEPARTMENT. IT IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY TO WAIT FOR INSTRUCTION ON ROUTINE TASKS.

POLICY REGARDING COMPUTER USAGE

2.1 Encourage the use of appropriate services. Promote the use of internal and external email for business communications, when appropriate. Get employees to access websites for business purposes.

3 Web surfing
3.1 Make it clear in your policy that the web should be mainly or solely used for business purposes. Some companies ban personal use altogether. This may be the best option if you only have dial-up access to the Internet.

1. Employees should be in 30 minutes before the working time. 2. Clean always your working area. 3. Observe dress code. 4. Follow break time rules
