Overall objective:

► Improve the delivery, quality, and


efficiency of Workers Compensation
in Minnesota.

This phase:

► Determine the impact to the workers


compensation community and stakeholders
of evolving from a forms-based process to
one driven by data.

► Identify statutory, process and business


changes inherent in this change.

► Create high-level requirements.

► Provide the technical roadmap for achieving


our goal.

exchange and utilize data in the

Principles, Constraints and Assumptions

► Principle: We will seek to define changes in capturing, utilizing


and exchanging Workers Compensation data that will benefit
our stakeholders.

► Principle: We are all stewards of the data, and should use it


judiciously for best benefit.

► Constraint: Data practices.

► Constraint: Data security.

► Constraint: Current Workers Compensation statute and rule.

► Assumption: The current process for acquiring data should be


streamlined.

► Assumption: There is a technology component to the ultimate


solution.
