OBJECTIVES
GENERAL OBJECTIVE Students will successfully use adjectives to describe the characteristics of people. LEARNING OUTCOMES Pre-teaching Students should be able to list five adjectives to describe a typical mother and father. While teaching Students should be able to use five adjectives and make five simple sentences that describe the picture given. Post-teaching By the end of this lesson, students should be able present the sentences in front of the class.

Set induction (5 minutes)

1. The teacher greets students.

TEACHING PROCEDURES Pre-teaching 1.The teacher introduces the topic of the day. 2. The teacher explains what is an adjective and its usage. 3. The teacher tells that todays lesson will focus on describing the characters and characteristics of the family members.

1. The students will listen attentively to the lesson.

TEACHING PROCEDURES While teaching Activity 1: Brainstorming 1.The teacher draws a picture of a mother and a father on the whiteboard. 2. The teacher draws two columns for adjective on the board. One is for physical and one is for personality. 3. The teacher asks students to describe the characters and characteristics a typical mother and father by using adjectives.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES

1. The students say out loud the answers.

4. The teacher writes down students feedback on the whiteboard according to which category they are in.
5. The teacher explains further about the feedback. 2. The students take notes on the teachers explanation

TEACHING PROCEDURES Activity 2 1.The teacher gives a respective number to each student. 2. The teacher instructs students to be in the groups with the other students that have the same numbers. 3. The teacher shows several envelopes and tells students that there are pictures of famous fictional family members in it. 4. The teacher asks the students to make five simple sentences, using adjectives, to describe the pictures. 5. The teacher tells the students that they have to present the discussion in front of the class. 6. The teacher tells the students they have fifteen minutes to complete the task. 7. The teacher distributes the envelopes.

1. The students move into their respective groups.

2. The students take note of the instruction.

3. The students will use the adjectives to describe the pictures.

TEACHING PROCEDURES Post-teaching 1. The teacher asks the students to present their discussion in front of the class.

1. The students present their discussion in front of the class.

2. The teacher instructs one representative to write the sentences on the whiteboard and the others to read the sentences.
3. The teacher corrects if there are any mistakes in using adjectives in the sentences.

While teaching Students should be able to use five adjectives and make five simple sentences that describe the picture given. Engaging
Teaching aid consists of well-known fictional television characters. Pictures help in visualizing the physical and personality traits better. Trigger students interests in giving ideas in making the sentences. Form 1 students are familiar with television characters. If there are students who are not familiar, the group members will assist him/her. It will trigger students interests better rather than an unknown image.

Practical
The pictures are easy for the teacher to access, prepare, and bring to school. It can be used for various lessons and for various level of students.
