    The Project Teyongsi Sirijunga Sikkim’ is an initiative to establish Limboo Cultural Heritage & Research Centre at Yumang Thegu, Hee Bermiok, West Sikkim. The centre will have 36 feet Bronze Statue of Teyongsi Sirijunga Sin Thebe, Study Centre on Yumaism, Library on Limboo Literature, Mangheem, Mundhum Research Centre and Schools for Phadangbas & Yebas, in short it is to be Limboo Cultural Heritage & Research Centre. The Project Teyongsi Sirijunga – Sikkim’ was envisioned and conceived by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri. Pawan Chamling during the Year 2004 for preservation of Limboo Cultural Heritage, its age old Traditions, Customs, Rituals and Language. Shri. Narendra Subba, then area MLA along with various Limboo Associations under the apex committee Su-khim Yakthung Sapsok Songjhumbo (SYSS) selected the present site located at Yumang Thegu under Hee Patel Block in West Sikkim for the purpose of construction of 36 feet High Statue of Teyongsi Sirijunga SinThebe. In a meeting held on 10th September 2004 at Limboo Bhawan, DPH Road, Gangtok, Sikkim under the aegis of Su-khim Yakthung Sapsok Songjhumbo (SYSS) regarding the Construction of Statue of Te-yongsi Sirijunga at Yumang Thegu, Hee Bermiok, the meeting unanimously passed to constitute an Advisory Committee for this purpose and in 03.12.2006, on the auspicious occasion of Teyongsi Sirijunga Sawan Tongnam, the foundation stone laying ceremony for this project was laid down by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim at Yumang Thegu, Hee Bermiok, West Sikkim.

    The Work which commenced on 8th December 2007 at this end of
    the project site is held up for another 9 Months due to Land
    Acquisition Disputes at this particular area where Class IV Staff
    Quarters and Car Parking Construction work were going on.
