CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT IN TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT IN ANY PUBLIC ORGANIZATION.

Determine whether improvement is needed?

They had asked themselves whether improvement is needed and why if it is needed. If the organization needed a improvement in their department they will need to list what that need to be improved For example, disciplinary problem, slow service and bribery.

1. Determine improvement objective


For example, the Public Service Committee,

(PSC) determine whether improvement is needed. They will list out the problem within the organization that needed to be improve.

2. Determine method
Determine the method that are going to be

implied by the organization in improving the quality management. The organization must make sure that the method to achieve the objective is suitable with the organizational objective For example, PSC objective to fulfill the job vacancies of public servant. To make sure that the job vacancies are filled by the best person, the interviewer must be able to detect people that are compatible with the job description. So they need to be sent to training for this.

3. Engage in education and train


The staff will be given proper training and

education or seminars that are appropriate with the method. The reason to do this is to ensure the staff to be more clear with the methods that will be implement For example, PSC send the staff for training to increasing their Knowledge, Skill and Ability for having a better proficiency in their job.

4. Implement improvement method


The improvement plan or method will be

implemented. For example, PSC implement or use the person that had undergone training to interview people to find or detect people that are compatible with the job description.

5. Evaluate effects of improvement


After method were implemented the

organization need to evaluate whether the methods had a positive or negative effect. If negative effect or does not improve they need to draw another plan to improve the organization. If positive next steps. For example, PSC will evaluate their method and make a conclusion of their evaluation.

6. Standardize process
After having a good effect towards the

organization objective, the method will be standardize. This mean that the organization will always implement the method to all body of the organization or implement the method according to the time period. For example PSC will implement the training seminar annually to all of its staff, meaning every year will do training. Thus showing the standardization of the process.

7. Take corrective action


After evaluating the method and conclude

that the methods are not as effective as plan the organization need to take corrective action which is to repair or make a new method to improve the organization according to its objective. For example, if PSC method to implement training to all of their staff is not effective plan, they can take corrective action by only send the interviewer to training.
