Planning and Forecasting


The process of deciding what positions the firm will have to fill, and how to fill them. Pantaloons HR department involves in company strategic planning and they also make sufficient planning for hiring new employees in the future. They forecast for the expected employees needs in the organization. They also forecast of employees on the change technology and increasing in productivity.

After planning they send this report to the head office for approval. If get approval from the head office then start with the recruitment process.

Recruitment
Recruitment process is well established firstly they give ads in news papers, company website, institutions etc.Once they receive an application form, from candidates with required documents and C V. Internal recruitment External recruitment

Selection

Selection can be conceptualized in terms of either choosing the fit candidates, or rejecting the unfit candidates, or a combination of both.It is done through: Interview Group exercises Presentations Psychometric tests Role plays/Situational Exercises Interview

Training process of employees


After recruiting the fresh employee training for three months is given with salary and after three months they become part of the firm.

They also give training to already existing employee and that depends upon the condition. For example if new technology is introduced full training about new technology is been given.

A complex system is not whats required Measure of success of the system: if the right people are available at the right time HRP needs to be fully in integrated to the organisations business plan HR managers must be able to demonstrate the success of HRP processes

Limitations

The topic was such that it required vast and thorough

study necessitating complete enumeration of the organization and analysis of several issues.
Following are the limiting factors:

Collecting information from people during the working hours was difficult.

Some employees did not have in depth knowledge about their work and were not able to give relevant information.
Most of the employees were hesitant in giving frank opinions and answer during personal interview. 23
