PRODUCTION HISTORY

PLOT SUMMARY
In United 93, Greengrass creates a gripping, provocative drama that tells the story of the passengers, crew and the flight controllers who watched in dawning horror as United Airlines Flight 93 became the fourth hijacked plane on the day of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil: September 11, 2001 The filmmaker explores the events of this day by telling the story of a single flight and the ordinary, random sampling of flight crew, businessmen, wives, grandparents, students and others bound for San Francisco aboard a Boeing 757. In the course of the just over 90 minutes that the plane was aloft, the world below entered a new and violent age viewed through a fog that slowly dissipated to reveal that America herself was under attack

REVIEWS
TomW.: -- Very "respectful", but ultimately I

don't know what this movie accomplished. Rhetorically, it seems it has nothing to say. No viewpoint, no politics, no real moral. Artistically, it also accomplished very little. Yes, it was directed with a great deal of research and skill, but the final product feels more like the work of a great recreates or archivist, not an artist and certainly not an entertainer. I left feeling like the movie was exactly what I expected, yet also realizing that Meteoritic scores made me think what I expected would be worth seeing. I can't say I would recommend this to anyone, even if I respect the craft Paul Green grass used to bring it to fruition. D.J.Skippen : Good.

Apocalypse Brown: Propaganda at its best,

compelling but so full of bull it make Bush look intelligent! I reckon most of the 10/10 posters are the same people who cheered on CBS midweek, when they showed pictures of dead Muslims. Its so sad that so many people are so brain dead/washed, that they only see the world from an Western view point. Next time you fill up your GMC, ask yourself how many Eastern people died just to get your gas in that tank? And I bet many of you don't care, as American blood is worth more than the world put together! You, are truly the oppressed ones!

Islamic references
There are a lot of Islamic references throughout the entire film. The film begins with 4 Muslim Arab men who recite the Quran and pray. The nature in which they speak and act indicate they are on a mission. The manner in which they communicate with each other is through the Arabic language.
As the terrorists hijack the plane the stab passengers on

the plane by screaming Allahu Akbar Allah is the greatest. they where about to hit

They recite the Shahadah The declaration of faith when

Islamic references cntd.

Lord to you I have committed, on you I depend Our brothers have hit target when they find out WTC has been hit Allhamdullilah Thanks to god

Inshallah God willing we are going to get there

Astagfirullah As he washes the blood of the kuffar off his hands Bismillah - In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate when moving dead body Surah Baqarah Jannah Eternal paradise Yawmul Qiyyamah Day of Judgement/reckoning They recite various verses from the Quran i.e. when the man holds the bomb, when they kill, when Zaid the one piloting the plane and the other terrorist are scared when the passengers take control.
