Engineering Drawing Form 5

UNIT 10 ELECTRONIC DRAWING

OBJECTIVES
Identify types of electronic drawing. Identify the standard symbols for electronic components. Draw schematic circuits from printed circuits. Draw schematic circuits from wiring circuits.

INTRODUCTION
Contains circuit drawing with electronic components. Used standard symbols to represent each components. Symbol is arranged & connected to form a complete circuit. Used in circuit design, component assembly & electronic appliances maintenance.

Analysis
Identify types of component and translate to standard symbols.
Trace the conductor connection. Identify the main device (i.e. semiconductor)

Main device must be located in the middle of diagram.

Step 1
Sketch the schematic circuit.

Step 2
Construct the connection lines between +ve and ve sources. Construct the vertical lines to ensure a balanced distance between symbols.

Draw the transformer symbol.

Step 3

Construct the standard symbols for other components in proportion.

Draw the connection lines vertically and horizontally.

Step 4
Complete the standard symbol connection on the schematic circuit and label the symbols.
