UNDERSTANDING OF PUNCTUATION

APOSTROPHE ()
MAIN USES: To show the omission of one or more letters in a contraction. Examples: I + am = Im It + is = its To show ownership or possession. Example: The grades possessed by James Jamess grades Apostrophe versus Simple Plurals: Tonys broad shoulders, rippling muscles and warm eyes.
