Brief Background : India Operations

1960 : Established as a Joint Venture between Mahindra and
Mahindra ( 51%) and GKN (49%). 1967 : 1972 : 1980 : 1992 : 1995 : Copper powder production at Pimpri plant. Iron powder production at Pimpri plant. Shifted powder plant to Ahmednagar. Shifted the plant to different location at Ahmednagar & discontinued Iron powder production. Production of Structural parts,Bearings,Metal Filters at Ahmednagar plant. 1999 : Production of Valve Seat Inserts in collaboration with NPR Japan at Ahmednagar plant. 2002 : 100% owned subsidiary of GKN Sinter Metals.
