VISION Mowasalat will be the preferred provider of integrated transport solutions & services within the MENA region by 2016 MISSION Provide transport solutions in a cost effective, safe and environmentally conscious way for the welfare of the State of Qatar and the satisfaction of our customers.

Mowasalat - Achievements

In its 8 short years of operation, Mowasalat has transformed the Qatari transport landscape by achieving 3 critical goals: 1) It has launched and dramatically grown its service operations in line with the needs of one of the fastest expanding populations and economies in the world;

2) It has elevated the service standards of previously existing modes of transport and re-introduced a competitive environment back into the market; and
3) It has diversified its products and services to offer Qatar integrated services

Mowasalat - Achievements

Taxi & limousine: Although it has been able in a short period of time to roll-out a whole fleet of 1,700 taxis, it recognizes that an opportunity to expand its fleet still further exists. It has, therefore, successfully launched a franchise program that has already placed an additional 1,000 taxis on the road and reintroduced healthy private competition to market. Mass Transit: Mowasalat has successfully rolled out and operated over 1,450 buses to serve schools in Qatar. Mowasalats substantial fleet of buses has helped Qatars reputation reach ever-greater heights. In 2009, a 4.8km-long convoy of 325 Karwa school buses travelled a stretch of 5km on the Shahaniya- Dukhan highway, some 56km from Doha, shattering the previous record of 119 buses, created in Germany earlier that year.

Mowasalat - Achievements

KTC: The training and testing center has emerged from being a supporting unit for taxi and bus services to become a commercial market leader for driver training in Qatar. In less than 5 years, it has captured 40% of the driver training market, while still serving the training needs of other Mowasalat business units

Karwa Service Unit: In less than two years, KSU has evolved from a division of Mass Transit with the sole purpose of maintaining Mass Transit buses into a stand-alone business unit on the verge of servicing all types of buses, Mowasalat and nonMowasalat clients, as well as selling spare parts and Karwa buses. To date, Karwa buses have been sold to several Qatari entities, and 50 buses have even been sold in Eritrea.
