CHINA

Design
Repetition of Image, i.e., floral or geometric shapes, is emphasized to show dominance and movement. Balanced positioning of lines and colors in space is well-observed. As a whole, there is unity.

Materials
Cotton, rayon, and silk. Paper, bamboo sheets, bronze, brass, porcelain, ceramics, jade, silver, gold, wood, limestone, iron, and clay.

Colors
Vibrant colors such as red, orange, yellow, and their mixture are preferred to project positivity. Though, cool colors are used to balance. Neutral or earth colors(brown, gray, subdued blue) are also shown according to the medium used. Vibrant light colors( principle of yang) and subdued colors (principle of yin) are used, to depict the character of a particular god and goddesses.

KOREA

THAILAND

Design
Simple linear cuts to fit their tunics typifies their costumes. They use floral and animal designs to follow the theme established by the tenets of Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam. Large golden temples and stupas with projecting roof with tall towers dominate Thailands landscape.

Colors
Pure warm colors of red, yellow and orange are the favorites to complement green, violet and blue. The neutral and colors of gray brown and yellow ocrhe paints the objects and structures. Lush green moss grew combined with the use of assortment of limestone, clays, sands and soils as base materials cover brownish-ochre walls of these structures.
