It was started in 1976 in India. It has
offices in 17 countries, and in India
170 offices and 360 service centers
and employs about 47,000 people.

companies listed in India, HCL

Nadar company, Microcomp
• The focus of the company was design
and manufacturing of scientific
calculators. The venture provided its
founders money to start a company
that focused on manufacturing
computers.
• The company was renamed as
Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL)
and received support from the Uttar
Pradesh government to setup their
manufacturing in Noida.
