Fly wheel
Rotating mechanical device that is used to store rotational energy. Has significant moment of inertia. The amount of energy stored in a flywheel is proportional to the square of its rotational speed. Provide continuous energy when the energy source is not continuous = 2 2 = 2 2

Generator
AC generator With electromagnets 12V is given to the field Rated rpm 1000 0.84KVA
Maruthi Alternator
An alternator is an electromechanical device that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy in the form of alternating current Initially it draws current from the battery When rotation reaches rated it generate 12 v ac
The brushes in an alternator carry only excitation current Three-phase winding is used to provide direct current with low ripple The field windings are initially supplied power from the battery
Bridge rectifier
Consists of 6 diodes Converts 3 phase ac to dc It is polarity sensitive
Battery
12V, 9Ah Maintenance free Good for rapid charging and discharging
ADVANTAGES
This is a cheaper means of power generation. Space requirement is very less. This system does not depend on any climatic changes like rain for hydel power generation As this system does not use any fuel this is a non polluting system. User friendly system.

Conclusion
This road ramp system is a desirable choice for power harvesting. This device can be installed in traffic zones where vehicles are required to reduce speed. The system can transfer the kinetic energy of the car which originally would have been wasted, to electric energy. But we found some problems after doing and testing this device. If we rectify that too, this project will become a great success.
