BASE: This is our head up alignment. You will slant to shoulder of the lineman you are head up on toward the gap you are responsible for. (Go through his shoulder / initiate contact!) GAP: Line up in the Gap you are responsible for (Put your helmet In the middle of the gap) try to go through the near linemans shoulder and get 2-3 yard penetration UP: D-linemen will stand up in base alignment instead of getting in a 3-point stance

BLITZ RULES
A & B Gap = Hit the 1st thing you can (1st level blitz) Flow toward you = attack now Flow away = blitz and bend (chase but GET FLAT NOW) C & D Gap = Attack outside in (maintain outside/contain leverage) Bats & Dawgs must communicate to know how to blitz Bats blitz flat if the Dawg is free (no contain responsibility) Bats contain blitz if the Dawg is locked-up Flow away = Hit QB (Waggle)/Check for reverse Flow to you = Attack outside shoulder of 1st threat

Basic Rules NEVER run around blockers, go through them If your gap is jammed, adjust and get to your responsibility Make something happen (never pause or 2nd guess)
