In total 20 people had taken my short horror film survey. 50% of the people who partook in my survey were females, and the other 50% were males. This means that I will not have gender biased survey data, making it easier for me trust the data I have collected.

Out of the 20 people who had taken my survey, 16 of them fit into the 17-20 category. However, this is because I had asked students and friends fit in that age range. This makes my results very selective and biased. However, it means I can focus on aiming one specific audience rather than a mass.

As you can see, many people much prefer Comedy over other film genres. However, as a class, we decided to do a Horror short film, so I cannot change the genre of my film in accordance with my data, but I did add one comedic line in my script as I wanted to take my data results on board and use them to my full advantage to gain a better review on my short film from my intended audience.

This was an open ended question, I had collected the data and compiled it into a pie chart format. The wording on many of the answers were different, however, I knew the gist of what they wanted so I managed to simplify it to one category. WIB, however, is unbeknown to be. I had researched but managed to find nothing on it that linked to the question asked. As most people chose being scared as something they enjoy in a horror film. This means I most definitely have to add that into my short film so I can appease my intended audience.

Mental Institutions was the location people most preferred. I physically could not recreate a short film in a mental institution. However, I can recreate an antagonist who has mental problems. However, attempting to film this without exceeding my time limit is merely impossible. I did try to do this when creating my characters, but when I started writing my script, I knew it would be impossible.

Only 15 answers were received for this question. The majority chose Supernatural as the sub-genre they enjoyed. Re-creating a supernatural short film on a short film is very hard, and not doable within my time limit and budget. However, I can provide an essence of supernatural influence in my short film without directly saying that it is a supernatural cause. This would be easier for me.

As you can see, a trailer is most likely to get a person to watch a horror film. Trailers tend to give parts of the film away and have intense music that pumps up adrenaline of those that are viewing it. Though I will not be recreating a trailer, I have gained knowledge on why people choose to watch horror films, or films in general.

The way the story is put together, directors need to begin to make horror films which unique and new trends instead of the complete obvious Music More gore For the audience to not be able to predict who will die next.
