On October 9, 1238, when James I of
Aragon was about to enter the city, re-
conquering it from the Moors, one bat
landed on the top of his flag, and he
interpreted it as a good sign. As he
conquered the city, and other parts of
the mediterannean the bat was added
to the arms.
The legend of the bat continues to
embrace the crest (or logo) of the
local team of the city to this date.

In the summer of 2003, the sheriff’s office of Eagle ,
Colorado arrested X in connection with an
investigation of a sexual assault complaint filed by a
19 yr old hotel employee. X was to undergo a knee
surgery in the town.
The accusation tarnished X’s image in the eye of the
world & also resulted in termination of his
endorsements contract with McDonald’s and
Nutella. However the assault case was dropped in
2004 as the hotel employee refused to testify in the
trial . The case was then filed in a separate civil
lawsuit with the two sides settling for the agreed
terms which might have involved a huge amount of
money being given to the victim.
Many thought X’s career was over , but he proved
everyone wrong by earning the Gold medal at the
2008 Olympics and helping his team regain the

Australia and England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. When the first
three days of the third Test were washed out due to heavy rain ,
officials decided to abandon the match but with both the sides agreeing
to play the game was finally resumed on the 5th day , with each side
playing for just 40 overs and 8 overs to be bowled by each bowler .
Australia won the game by 5 wickets. Though the result is not of much
significance , the match had a great impact on Cricket.
