Scope of TESTS

1. HARDNESS TEST
Hardness is a measure of how resistant solid matter is to various kinds of permanent shape change when a force is zpplied. Indentation hardness measures the resistance of a sample to material deformation due to a constant compression load from a sharp object. Test Method: Vickers, Test Range : Vickers Brinell Rockwell Brinell & Rockwell Hardness Test : 5-10-20-30-50-100Kgf : 187,5Kgf : 60-100-150Kgf, Preload 10Kgf

2. TENSILE/BEND TEST
Tensile testing, also known as tension testing, is a fundamental material science test in which a sample is subjected to a controlled tension until failure. The results from the test are commonly used to select a material for an application and to predict how a material will react under other type of forces. Bend test is used to evaluate both the ductility and soundness of a material. It is often used as a quality control test for Buttwelded joints. Test Method : Tensile, Bend, and Compression test Test Range : 0 to 400 Kilo Newton

Scope of TESTS

3. CHARPY IMPACT TEST

Charpy Impact Test is a standardized high strainrate test which determines the amount of energy absorbed by a material during fracture. It is used in many industries for testing materials used in the construction of pressure vessels and bridges and to determine how storms will affect materials used in them. Test temperature: -1960C to Normal room temperature Test Range : 0 to 300 Joules

4. CHEMICAL ANALYSIS (SPECTROSCOPY)

In Optical Emission Spectroscopy technique, atoms in a sample are excited by energy that comes from a spark formed between sample and electrode. The energy of the spark causes the electrons in the sample to emit light which is converted into a spectral pattern. By measuring the intensity of the peaks in this spectrum, OES analyzers can produce qualitative and quantitative metal analysis of the material composition with uncompromising accuracy. Material Range : Steels (SS & CS), Copper & Aluminium

Scope of TESTS

5. SALT SPRAY TEST

The salt spray test (Fog Test) is a standardized test method used to check corrosion resistance of coated samples. It is an accelerated corrosion test used to evaluate the relative corrosion resistance materials exposed to a salt spray or salt fog at an elevated temperature Test temperature: -1960C to Normal room temperature Test Range : 0 to 300 Joules

6. METALLOGRAPHIC REPLICA TEST

In-situ Replica Metallography is an on-site, nondestructive technique employed for observing and documenting the microstructural integrity of many engineering metal parts, castings, forgings, welds and brazed joints, equipment, components and steel structures. It is a portable mobile technique that can be taken anywhere-Take the Laboratory to the Problem and not the Problem to the Laboratory Test Temperature : Normal Room Temperature Specification : ASTM E1351

METALLURGICAL FAILURE ANALYSIS

Metallurgical failure analysis is the process by which a metallurgist determines the mechanism that has caused a metal component to fail. Typical failure modes involve various types of corrosion and mechanical damage. The end goal of failure analysis is to provide a determination of the root cause and a solution to any underlying problems to prevent future failures. Analysis of a failed part can be done using destructive testing or Non-destructive testing. Destructive testing involves removing a metal component from service and sectioning the component for analysis. Non destructive testing is a test method that allows certain physical properties of metal to be examined without taking the samples completely out of service. NDT is generally used to detect failures in components before the component fails catastrophically.
