Project Overview

The project objective was preparation of the Feasibility study with CBA and Preliminary Design in accordance with national legislative
The main road from Scepan Polje to Pluzine has two sections: First section is 2,5 km alignment from border crossing bridge on Tara River to Paklice (Conceptual design) Second section is 22.5 km alignment from Paklice to Pluzine (Preliminary Design)

Section from bridge on Tara river to Paklice

Bridge on Tara River is one line bridge with no satisfaction of safety requirements. Based on multi criteria analyses, it is proposed to construct new, 184 m long bridge Interstate committee to decide

Section from bridge on Tara river to Paklice

Section from new bridge to Paklice will require design of new alignment New alignment to be designed after new bridge location is agreed between two countries Conceptual design prepared

Section from Paklice to Pluzine

22.5 km No safety requirements Speed limits 30 km/h 56 tunnels in total, not in accordance with EU standards Project objective: Preliminary Design (in accordance with national legislation) and ESIA

Reconstruction of the section Preliminary Design

Reconstruction of the alignment Reconstruction of tunnels Reconstruction of the retaining walls, safety constructions and other structures on the road

Second section from Paklice to Pluzine

Section from Paklice to Pluzine

Alternative 2
Provision of high quality service through development of new sections High road safety standards Protection of rock falls and snowfalls Design of new tunnels in order to avoid risky sections and safety requirements Speed limit 70 km/h (even in tunnels)

Section from Paklice to Pluzine
