DEFINITION OF
UNEMPLOYED


 The “unemployed” comprises all persons ten

years of age and above who during the reference
period were:


 i) “With out work” i.e. were not in paid-employment

or self- employment.“Currently available for work”
i.e. were available for paid employment or self-
employment; and


 ii) “Seeking work” i.e. had taken specific steps in a

specified recent period to seek paid employment or
self-employment

ü Establishment of ROZ’s

ü Up gradation of the existing Dairy and livestock
extension centers to train a large number of
farmers , and producers .
ü Fruits and vegetable processing zones to be
established across the province.
ü Involvement of Women in the employment sector
by providing them interest free loans etc.
