MBTS Overview

The 3900 series multi-mode base stations feature a modular design. The BBU3900 and the RF module (MRFU/RRU3908) are connected through

an electrical or optical cable between CPRI ports for CPRI signal

transmission

The basic modules of the 3900 series multi-mode base stations are the baseband unit BBU3900, the outdoor remote radio unit RRU3908, and

the RF module MRFU

CPRI connections:

The ports SFP0 to SFP5 in the RXU Topology Structure area on the LMT correspond to CPRI0 to CPRI5 on the panel of the BBU.

Slots of RXUs:

On the LMT, RFUs are configured in subrack 4. The slot numbers of RFUs start from slot 0, on the basis of the configuration sequence of RF units. During the RFU installation, the slots of RFUs are determined based on the actual requirements. The subracks where the RRUs are configured are virtual subracks. The subrack number ranges from 60 to 254. During the RRU installation, the slots of RRUs are determined based on the actual requirements.
