The West Visayas State University Medical Center (WVSU-MC) is a 300 bed level 4 tertiary, teaching and training hospital of the West Visayas State University. It serves as the training, facility of the WVSU Colleges of Medicine and Nursing and several affiliating institutions. The WVSU-MC has accredited residency training programs in Surgery, OB-Gyne, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology and Anesthesiology. It is 5-10 minute walk from the University main campus.

SERVICES OFFERED
The operation of the residency training program allows it to offer a wide range of mental health services to the general public. These services are offered by the three major training facilities of the program, namely the West Visayas State University College of Medicine and Medical Center, the Western Visayas Medical Center, and the Pototan Mental Emergency psychiatric care is provided at the emergency rooms of the three facilities for patients who require immediate psychiatric attention.
