Cars Acrobatic
 Cars Acrobatic is
one of performing arts

 Mechanics involves :
Circular motion,
Projectile motion,
Centre of gravity…etc
Circular Motion
 Car perform circular motion has a non-zero
acceleration.
 According to Newton’s Second Law, a net
force must be acting on the car.
 This force is provided by an external agent
and is called the centripetal force.
e.g. friction, tension, normal force…

Motorcycle
 When the motorcycles accelerate to
increase the velocity, they move upward.
 As centripetal acceleration = v^2/r, the
radius is increased with the velocity, thus,
the motorcycles rises.
The centripetal force
is provided by the

normal force.

In vertical component,
the weight of motorcycle

is balanced with the friction.

In horizontal component,
the normal force (always point towards the centre

of the circular path) acts on motorcycle acts as

centripetal force
 Here is the equation related the θand the
velocity and radius.
 tanθ=v^2/rg

Looping the loop
 In order to complete
the circle, the car
should have a
minimum speed.
 Make sure it can

complete the circle

without fall down due to the gravity.
 At the top of the loop, the centripetal force of
the circular motion is provided by the weight
of the motorcycle (mg) & normal force.

Calculation

At the top, At the bottom of the loop

N + mg = mv^2/r N - mg = mv^2/r

N>0, v> gr^1/2 v> 5gr^1/2

Drifting

 Drifting is a driving technique

 Motor where the driver intentionally oversteers,

causing loss of traction( 牽引力 ) in the rear wheels
through turns

 Preserving : 1.Vehicle control 2.High exit speed.

Drifting techniques

 Drifting techniques Includes

Hand brake drift
Powerslide
Shift lock
Clutch Kick
Braking drift

 For beginner level,

 Hand brake drift:

Stops the rear wheels, upsetting their grip and causing them to drift.

 Powerslide:
Step on the gas hard to slide sideways out of the corner.
 Skidding is the state of the vehicle fails to follow the
curved track and then slide sideways.
 Friction is not sufficient to provide the centripetal force
