Course description:
This course is designed to assist participants to acquire the theory and develop their skills (Listening, Writing, Reading and Speaking) of English for formal and non-formal communication in and outside of the class. Through learningcentered activities and collaboration among participants, participants in this course will explore various aspects of and develop their competence in using the language for real communication.
Objectives:
- To understand the concepts of English sentences. - To properly listen, write, read and speak English to each other. - To prepare themselves on explaining and describing something using the language properly.
Progression of the course: There will be: - 14 times meeting in the classroom - 9 times meeting in the language laboratory - 2 times tests (MT and FT) - Once oral test - Once remedial review - Once remedial test
Learning-teaching process:
- Participants actively participate in class activities and discussions. They are responsible for learning the materials covered during the term and, therefore, good attendance is very important, - Through students presentations on various aspects of learning, participants demonstrate an understanding of theoretical principles and their application in practice, - Participants work independently and in groups on assignments given by the convener.
Evaluation:
Final grade will be decided based on internship report, class participation and performances (presentation and interview), practice and academic examinations.
