Conclusions
Results show significant effect of FP counseling provided to PP women before discharge from hospital on early adoption and use of modern FP methods, compared to women who did not receive counseling. (p value less than 0.05 at 40 days and 3 months)

Providing this service to all PP women before discharge from hospitals could significantly increase PP FP use and reduce the incidence of closely spaced births in Jordan.
