Introduction
Drug addiction is one of the top most social problems. It is said that drug saves life but only when it is prescribed by a professional doctor

Drug addiction
Drug abuse and addiction are a major burden to society. Estimates of the total overall costs of substance abuse in the United Statesincluding health- and crime-related costs as well as losses in productivityexceed half a trillion dollars annually. This includes approximately $181 billion for illicit drugs,1 $168 billion for tobacco,2 and $185 billion for alcohol.3 Staggering as these numbers are, however, they do not fully describe the breadth of deleterious public healthand safetyimplications, which include family disintegration, loss of employment, failure in school, domestic violence, child abuse, and other crimes

Types of addiction
Alcohol Cocaine Ecstasy Hallucination Marijuana Heroine Prescribed drugs. Any pain killer that is used without a proper instructions of a physician is consider as drugs. Using pills for sleeping or relaxation is also considered as a drug addiction.

Drugs in Bangladesh
Like all other countries, young people of Bangladesh are also getting addicted with the various types of drudges day by day. We can see people taking drudge in some particular places . In this places drudges are also sold . This has been so easy over the years as like as a part of our culture. Tobacco type drudge such as hashish (Ganga), weeds ,marijuana etc easy to get from that particular places Entry drudges squad has been surprisingly remaining unconscious in this matter. So the availability of the drugs increases day by day. People gets it easily and gets addicted. Young children and poor women are often seen to sell the drugs in open in slums. So it is being a scratch on the skin of our society.

Political view
The political parties are surprisingly silent regarding these matter. It is often seen that some of the political leaders are the god father of these criminal activity.

Prevention is better than cure

The lack of communication is responsible for being biased to take the drugs for the youth. It is the responsibility to the family member to talk with the youngest member of the family about drug addiction and its bad effects. Public awareness should be created by the mass media and the bad effects should be highlighted. Easy way of getting drugs should be void by the proper authority with prior instructions.
