the weft passes under two (twi- "double") or
more warp fibers.
• The world denim market is worth US$ 50.6bn.
• It is estimated that the denim and jeans market
around the world will increase in retail value to
US$ 56.2bn by 2014, showing a rise of 9.9% over
a seven year period.
• About 50% of global denim capacity is now
concentrated in Asian mills, and the bulk of this is
in China.
