The moderator will start with the welcome note and will introduce the discussion format and the lead resource persons for discussion The moderator will introduce the topic 1 of the discussion and the lead resource persons will discuss the topic for about 20 minutes (10 minutes each). Introducing PES to other national, regional and global forums of evaluation and exchanging information with them Registration of PES with other regional and global forums such as American Evaluation Society and EvalPartners etc. Creating collaboration opportunities for Pakistani professionals to work on global challenges faced by evaluation societies worldwide

Description To develop linkages with global professionals and institutions to keep the national evaluation community updated about the standards and emerging practices in evaluation and to promote global cooperation in the field of evaluation

Activities Holding trainings and seminars Sharing opportunities for capacity building such as the ones offered by IPDET, Nuffic, etc.

Devising the advocacy and media strategies for evaluation Sensitizing the demand side (the tax payers and the civil society) to demand the right for downward accountability for measurable results Mobilizing the supply side to incorporate evaluation in public policy Sharing the best practices of Pakistani evaluation professionals to underpin the importance of evaluation in development

Description To advocate the importance of evaluation to promote its recognition as a scientific discipline, in both public and private sectors.

6 Development of Evaluation Theory

Activities Conducting researches on the gaps in evaluation and their solutions Encouraging and supporting academia to focus on evaluation in their research studies

Description To cooperate with academia and centers of knowledge to research and build on the existing knowledge of evaluation and disseminate it

No formal structure yet Lack of human and financial resources to run the society

Way forward
Formation of an interim structure for coordinating a consultative seminar Holding the consultative seminar with evaluation professionals (at least 50 from all provinces) for approval of the charter of the society and erecting a formal structure
