Aim: To develop a rich web based application called online address book with up to date information to maintain an online contact database and send sms alert to that community of people. Existing system: The existing system enables users to create their own web page (or profile page) which is then indexed by search engines like Google and yahoo. This in turn enables users to be found by other people via a search of their name and then contacted via their web page containing their personal information. Ability to find people registered with online address book via search engines usually varies according to the commonness of name and the amount of results for name. Drawbacks: Time to access the required users profile page No sms alert system Non availability of data and when required Transactions are done manually, it is waste of papers Highly inconsistent and redundant information High level of human intervention needed and hence the usage of system dependents on the skill of individual. Proposal system:
People usually changes their email ids and mobile numbers, they will have given that number to many. After changing, when they try the number will not be correct and hence the call will not be connected many contacts are lost in a similar way. The problem can be solved by maintaining an online contact base. When an user registered in online address book it allows the user to create his own profile and he can place his mobile contacts in online contact base so if some one changes mobile number, every contact in the online contact database will receive an updated contact information. With this application in place there is no hassle when mobile numbers, email ids or address details are changed. The basic model is when you send a sms to your friend, for example 9849012345
Then the web program just emails your sms
