Melissa Ferrufino Aparicio is documenting her experiences and progress as a teacher through an e-portfolio. She discusses her educational background and teaching practice at the Profesor Lisandro Arevalo School in 2010. During this time, she taught both English and other subjects to large classes of students from grades 1 through 6. She found the experience rewarding but also challenging with little time to help all students. Ferrufino Aparicio is focused on continually improving her teaching methods by reading education books and consulting online resources. She wants to engage students and help them make connections to learn effectively.

Theres simply no better preparation for future teachers than observing how students react to different styles of instruction and how good teachers adjust in response. Well, she will try to return 4 years ago. In the year 2010, when she did her social hours. she experiences were exiting, because is difficult to study and teach at the same time. During she training as a technical Bilingual, she had many difficulties; her social hours were performed in Profesor Lisandro Arevalo School. She decided to practice with students of first and second cycle of basic education. She started teaching two days a week, Wednesday afternoon and all day Friday. All sections were very large groups of 30 to 40 students, on Wednesday was first through fifth grade and Fridays from first to sixth grade.
she really likes the role of teacher, student and teacher told her that feels very nice, with many children she did a beautiful friendship; and she wanted to have more time to help these children. Many children showed great interest in learning the language and learned very facially, others resented the English class, finally she found all kinds of problems, and it was not enough time to teach everything I wanted. Finally a great teacher is one a student remembers and loves forever. Teachers have long-lasting impacts on the lives of their students, and the greatest teachers inspire students toward greatness, the teacher needs passion to teach others in order to be a good teacher.
She has spent the last 3 months of her teaching practice in Complejo Educativo Profesor Lisandro Arevalo with eleventh grade section B her efforts have been focused on trying to help her students and to develop herself. She wants to do a good job, and work hard at improving their effectiveness. ENGAGE STUDENTS. Some students are just stubborn and completely unwilling to learn. There is ultimately nothing you can do about that since it is their free will and their teenage angst that's making them 'too bored' to pay attention. Otherwise, by having at least one interactive activity for each lesson will help keep students engaged. Also associating topics to more relatable things for students can help them connect the information to their personal lives, and it will be instilled in their minds better. One of the things she did to improve her teaching is to read books on how to make good practices, if she has some questions I consults some books or internet pages. I really still remember my first day of teaching practice I was nervous and had her lesson plan but was afraid. If comparing from that day until now she really improved and she will continue doing. It is important to evaluate the progress that her students have had. To do this I make Forums presented below.
