PRAYER
I believe in stewardship, I believe in the God of love,
the owner of everything who possesses everyone.
I believe in the God of mercies who has chosen me
to be a steward of Mother Nature and Mother
Church, in spite of who I am and what I have done,
and in spite of the infidelities He knows I will still
commit.

I believe in the power of giving
and in the power of loving like
Jesus; because love is the only
way to holiness; giving is the
best proof of loving; and perfect
renunciation leads to unlimited
fruitfulness.

I believe that in freely giving my
time, in humbly sharing my
talents, and in generously
sacrificing my treasures, the Lord
will always provide.
He will take care of all my needs,
and bless me with infinite reward
on earth and in heaven.

I will be the first to give. I will not
wait for the others. I will keep on
giving even if others do not give. I
will not be afraid to have none.
I believe that the best time to share
is now, not tomorrow, for tomorrow
is an excuse of the greedy.

I will keep my needs and
wants simple and few, for
I believe that in reducing
my selfishness, I will grow
in happiness and
holiness.

I am a steward of the Lord. I
will return all these to Him with
abundant yield!
Much is asked of me because
much has been given to me I
praise the Lord for His
kindness to me now and
forever.
Amen.

Scripture Reading:
Malachi 1, 6-8
Materially
they are
comfortable,
life seems
secure.

God gets put to
the side,
God is placed in
the background,
any meaningful
relationship with
him is squeezed
bone dry.

Malachi 1,13:
Ibabaga yo, 'Onsasawa kami lad sarayan
amin!' Insan yo ak kokobibitan.
Mangibabagat kayod siak na tinakew ya
ayep odino piley odino mansasakit.
Abaloan yo awaten ko tan ed sikayo?
Implication
religion is without
hunger, (they dont
really long for God to
move)
their faith is without
vision (they dont expect
God to move)

their hopes are set on the
things of this world (they
arent particularly interested
even when he does)
they just go through the
religious motions.
Malachi 3, 8:
Tetepetan ta kayo, maung kasin
takewan na too so Dios? Andi-
duaruwa ya aliwan maung, balet
tatakewan yo ak. "Panon mi kan
tatakewan?" tepet yo. Diad saray
kakaplo tan diad saray bagat.

Because of this, God says:
Nisasamba kayon amin, lapud
tatakewan ak na intiron bansa.

CURSE!
When there was no
rain, the land would
be called cursed.
When the crops
were stunted they
were called cursed.

When something
failed to reach its
potential the word
that would be used
was cursed.

Here we have a people who
were enjoying the blessings of
God, whose spiritual temperature
was luke-warm, who were living
as if it was OK not to give to God
what they owe Him and God calls
them cursed: stunted, spiritually
barren.

God could equally have been talking
about our parishes and many
Christians, including OURSELVES,
today.

Challenge of God
PANANABANGAN as a Way of Life
Malachi 3, 10
Iyakar yod Timplo iray amin a kakaplo yo,
pian walay daakan a pantaganod man.
Subok yo ak, et nanengneng yon lokasan
koy puirtay tawen tan ikalbok ed sikayo so
daakan a bindision. Ag ko abuloyan a

diad ontan mambunga na amayamay iray
sengeg na ubas yo. Insan saray totoo ed
amin a bansa tawagen da kayo a maliket,
lapud magmaliw a marakep a panayaman so

Undoubtedly:
Undoubtedly, God has blessed us in
His love and mercy.
God has called us to this special and
noble vocation and life.
In general, we have seen the church
in Lingayen-Dagupan grow in depth,
in numbers, in hope, in vision, in
service.
How have we
responded to
these blessings
from our God?

and Deepening
Spirituality

Pananabangan as a
Way of Life
Scripture Reading:
Matthew 25, 14-30
The parable is about stewardship.
The story tells us that God has given
each of us something to do that no
one else on earth can do.
Who is a good steward?
Steward:
given charge
has the responsibility to take
care
SOMEBODY ELSES
PROPERTY.
Who is a good steward?
He is Grateful.

A good steward is one who is
RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE.

A good steward is one who SHARES
God's gifts out of a sense of love and
justice.
A good steward is one who MAKES A RETURN to
the Lord with increase.
