INTRODUCTION

Online comic that also known as web comic is a
web application for publishing comic through
website. The purpose for online comic it to
provide medium to all comic reader to read
comic anywhere without have to get it at the
bookstore.


PROBLEM STATEMENT
i. Comic reader have problem to discover their
favourite comic by Internet suggestion as well
because many comic website are not always
been updated.
ii. Comic reader usually reading the web comic
that are only well established collection.
iii. Comic reader get difficult to choose what comic
they would like to show up in their comic
account page.

OBJECTIVE
Functionality

i. Search
- Comic reader can browse their favourite comic by choose link the
type of genre or just type the comic title on the search box.
ii. View
- Comic reader can read variety type of comic selection such as
selecting recommend comic, new comic and popular comic.
- Reading section provided reading environment like they read
newspaper.
iii. Bookmark
- Comic reader can save and mark their comic page so that they can
read it again.
iv. Subscriber
- Comic reader get noticed when the comic they subscribe have
been updated by the comic writer.
v. Likes
- Rating of comic will increase and appear in the popular comic
section when many comic reader likes the comic.

USABILITY GOALS
i. Easier to learn
The main page of web comic have some links such as popular comic and
recommended comic for reader to easily choose what they want to read especially
when their first time log in as a user.

ii. More efficient to use
Comic collections are high quality image but low file size such as PDF form.

iii. Safely to use
Fully used by the registered user. They can bookmarks, share and read the comic
collection when they have login to the website. While for the guest, they just can
read some of the comic.

iv. Effective to use
The reader will get an accurate and relevant result based on their searching. For
example, the website will warn the reader when their searching comic is unavailable
and no results matched the query.


USER EXPERIENCE GOALS
i. Enjoyable
This web comic combine many collection from comic
artist that makes this website enjoyable to the user. User
can read variety genre of web comic collection.
ii. Satisfying
The browser section help user to find their wanted
comics that not are not displayed in the current
webpage.
iii. Helpful
The bookmark section provide reader with their last
reading page that they can refer back again.
Enhance their interest in reading especially comic.

- She rarely read web comic as she found it is difficult to find the best website

Opinion about reading comic
do prefer Offline(newspaper)
or Online(web-comic) :
- Currently, she prefers reading comic offline because it is much easier to get at the
bookstore but need to spend some money to buy it.
- In her opinion, she would like if there is one centralized website that contains the
combination of comic so she can easily read. Otherwise, she interested in online
comics because she can read the comics anywhere she wants and more attractive
with good pictures provided.

the reader can feel like they
real comic. User can read to
full screen option and the
background will be
minimized. At the right side
the page have bookmark
button, like button,
subscribe button beside
that user can leave their
comment about the comic
content.

This interface show
last page of comic
that user have
read. User can
delete the page if
they had read it.
Changed password

If the user want change
password, they will be go to
setting and the change
password section will
appear. The user will need
to insert their current
password and new
password to be change
before they click the submit
button.

USABILITY TESTING
Statement 1: most of user are not understand some term and word on module most
popular, module view, module new comic.

solution
ask user the word that they might often see and brainstorm among tester to produce the
good word. use the simple word, meaningful to make user understand about what the
word for.

for instant,

new comic = new comic
most view = hot comic or most top comic

Statement 2: user want some respond after they select features on right corner
bookmark, likes and subscribe button.

Solution
The button will be shaded once user clicking on bookmark, likes and subscribe button.


Statement 3: inconsistent icon such as home button

Solution: we focus on the shape of the button for ensure user understand what icon for.
ADVANTAGES
1. Variety of comic collection.
Many comic collection available in this web comic and this give
reader freedom to choose what type of comic they want to read.
1. Secured system.
Only registered user can read all comic and use the functionality
of the system.
3. Updated comic collection.
Reader will get notify when their subscribe comic have a new
episode updated.

4. Helpful and user friendly.
Reader can search their comic in the browse section or they can
just choose the comic in the comic list that have been sorted by
genre.
DISADVANTAGES
1. Unavailable colour scheme.
Not support colour blind reader.
2. Compatible for browser only.
User need to open web browser to view the web comic.
3. Ideas can be taken by not responsible user.
The comic collection can easily be used and altered by
individuals without any consent.
CONCLUSION
Our project acts as comprehensive to anyone that wants to
read comic using one standard platform which combines
variety of comic collections especially collection from new
comic artist. Finally, comic reader can enjoy their reading
freely without have to get the real comic that need cost and
time to buy it.
