Background of Study
Money, houses, lands, physical appearance,
and even citizenship serve as the factors to be
taken into consideration to start a relationship in
this 21st -century society.
Dating in collegiate environment is known as a
norm nowadays
Dating has both advantages and disadvantages
on students.

Objectives of the Study
To investigate the Reasons for students to
go out on a date.
To determine the Effects of dating on the
students.
To recommend Ways to overcome the
problem with dating.

Research Questions
What are the reasons for students to go out on a
date?
What are the effects of dating towards students
in FC?
What are the recommendations to solve the
problems faced by students who are dating?

Significance of the Study
From this research ,we will be able to :
identify the advantages and disadvantages of
dating among students.
provide certain suggestion if there are any
problems related to dating.

Scope of the Study
We are surveying the pros and cons of dating
among students of FC , UTM.

50 respondents were randomly selected from
this faculty.
The questionnaires were distributed to 50
undergraduate students from FC in UTM.
Research Methodology
The four purposes of this chapter are to :
describe the research instrument
describe the respondents of the study
describe the research procedure
describe data analysis.

Research Instruments
The questionnaire comprised of 24 questions
and was divided into 4 sections.
The 4 sections are :
(1) profile of respondents
(2) reasons for dating
(3) effects of dating
(4) opinion on student dating trend
The different question-types in the questionnaire
were listing/choice, open-ended and scales.

Respondents of the Study
The questionnaire was distributed to 50
randomly selected undergraduate students from
FC , UTM.
Each of our group member was put in-charged
in distributing 10 questionnaires to the
respondents.

Research Procedure
Before the actual data collection, a pilot study
was conducted on 10 students to assess the
validity of the questionnaires.
The comments from the pilot group were taken
into account for improvement.
The respondents were approached with an initial
question of whether they have or had been in a
date before the questionnaire was given to
them.

Data Analysis
Data were entered into the questionnaire form
on Google Docs.
The data from the questionnaires were analysed
and tabulated in tables.
Results were presented in the forms of bar
charts, and descriptive statistics.
