Berlin

The Reichstag – Is the building where the federal parliament of Germany exercises its functions.
It began to be built on 1884 and was completed in 1894.
In February 1933, one month after the appointment of Adolf Hitler to the post of Chancellor of
Germany, the building was set on fire by Communists, having been severely damaged. It was
also practically destroyed by air strikes during the war. Was rebuilt again between 1961 and
1964.

Sanssouci Park in Potsdam is the largest World Heritage Site in Germany It
covers 287 hectare (724 acres) - compared to Central Park's 840
Sanssouci Palace - Is the former summer palace of Frederick the Great, King
of Prussia, at Potsdam, near Berlin until 1918
It was here that the victorious powers of World War II met from June 17 to
August 2, 1945 for the Potsdam Conference. Churchill, Truman and Stalin
enjoyed the calm and luxurious surroundings of the Cecilia Court Palace as
they discussed how to partition post-war Germany.
