QUADRAPYRAMID
Use washer at the nail heads to prevent the material from tearing over the nail.
Apply duct tape to the back of the material to reinforce it
Boards with mineral wool backing layer
• Walls can also be lined with boards which employ a compressed mineral wool backing
layer.
• These are best used with 8mm render or parge coat when combined with a blockwork
wall and vary in thickness (usually between 32mm and 50mm).
• This type of treatment performs well when installed on the residential side of a
separating wall to a communal area (hallway, corridor, stairwell).
Sizes
•1,160 mm x 430 mm wide and 1,160 mm x 580 mm wide batts,
(also available as 1,200 mm x 600 mm wide batts for metal stud
framing). Thicknesses, 50 mm, 75 mm for walls and 100 mm for
upper floors
General Advantages
•reduce airborne sound transfer between rooms and these
insulation batts
•act as the ultimate barrier to heat entering buildings during hot
summers, or being lost to the outside during chilly winters which
reduces energy bills.
• Thermal Insulation batts are designed and cut to fit 99% of
ceiling joist and wall stud spacings.
QuadraPyramid
The Quadra Pyramid presents a low profile with four pyramids creating
sixteen angles of reflection on the surface of a single 2’ X 2’ panel. The
unit is designed for wall or ceiling grid.
• Audimute acoustic sound panels are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and
colors
• . Audimute acoustical panels can also be fabricated to be used as artwork.
• Sizes, colors and images can be mixed and matched to create a unique designer
look which will not only sound great but also look spectacular.
• Audimute acoustical panels are the perfect
solution for many reverberant noise
problems.
• Adding acoustical panels to the room will
reduce reflected sound thereby dampening
the echo and reverberation, creating a
terrific acoustic environment.
• Audimute acoustic sound panels reduce
volume levels by as much as 60%. Made
from recycled cotton materials - No
Fiberglass.
• Audimute acoustic panels are handmade in
the USA, and offer superior performance for
wall and ceiling applications. Install acoustic
sound panels where low and mid frequency
absorption is desired. Applications include:
conference rooms, home theatres, libraries,
restaurants, exhibition halls, classrooms,
retail, family rooms and more.
self made acoustic panel
Requirements
PROCEDURE
Join 2 2' boards with 2 4' boards 4 times
to make 4 frames.
•Insert the fiberglass insulation,
then compress it with the poultry
netting
• wrap each panel with the
polyester batting, and attach it to
the side of each frame with a
staple gun.
•The batting serves as a barrier
for the raw fiberglass, as well as
an additional absorbant layer.
• The burlap was wrapped
around the front and sides of the
panels, and stapled to the back.
•Now mount these on the
walls
conclusion
• Used materials can be employed for acoustical
treatment which can be cheap & easy to handle.
• Such materials should be used in a greater scale
so as to overcome money factor.
• These should come in common use in larger
scale.
