Project INSPIRATION

The redevelopment endeavor under the Saifee Burhani Upliftment Project is being undertaken in order to make residents homes more spacious and to provide them with a new environment and atmosphere that leads to
the growth and open-mindedness of thought and is more favorable to their health and well-being.

The Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust (SBUT) has been established specifically with the aim of Upliftment and well-being of the people residing under the umbrella of Raudat Tahera in Bhendi Bazaar by providing them with
more spacious ownership flats with modern amenities in a better environment.
Approximately 249 old and dilapidated buildings, 3200 families, 1250 businesses and five mosques and religious structures fall within the Project area. All of these will be incorporated into a state-of-the-art development with
new buildings, wide roads, modern infrastructure, more open spaces and highly visible commercial areas. SBUT will retain the mosques and religious structures in its current location.
The project is a non-profit initiative planned for the welfare of the occupants of Bhendi Bazaar. The aim of the Project is a Renewal of Space and Spirit. The project has been conceived under the Government scheme, DCR 33 (9).
It covers 16.5 acres of land in the congested area of Bhendi Bazaar. The entire area is nearly 100 years old. MHADA has classified most of the buildings as Dilapidated.
Rather than a transit camp, Id like to call this a training camp because upliftment begins here
