EDUCATION
Education is the delivery of
knowledge, skills
and
information from teachers to
students
The proper definition of education is the
process of becoming an educated person.

Being an educated person means you
have access to optimal states of mind
regardless of the situation you are in.

WHAT IS LEVEL LEARNING
Levels of learning refer to competencies a
learner can achieve.

Taking into account learning levels is a key
issue in instructional design

Instructional design also has to clearly
identify the level of instruction a design is
aiming at.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN PLANNING
I: know that
I-a Facts : recall, description,
identification, etc.
I-b Concepts: discrimination,
categorization, discussion, etc.
II: know how
II-a Reasoning and procedures:
inferences, deductions, etc. + procedure
application
II-b Problem solving and production
strategies: identification of subgoals +
application of heuristics/methods
III: knowing in action
III Situated action: action strategies in
complex and authentic situations
IV: Other
IV Other: e.g. motivation, emotion,
reflection, i.e. elements that could
intervene in all the other categories
LEARNING LEVEL IN RURAL AREA OF
PAKISTAN
Learning levels of students across rural
Pakistan are tumbling in spite of rhetoric and
massive investment and interventions in
school education system by respective
provincial governments as almost 57%

Grade 5 students cannot read Grade 2 English
sentences and cannot do two-digit division.

Educationist opinion
Students` low learning levels bring into
question the competence of teachers as well
as the examination systems that are
promoting incompetent students to next
grades.

ASER SURVEY 2013
The ASER(Annual Status of Education Report)
survey findings, based on the testing of 249,832
students (including 41 per cent girls) in rural
parts of 138 districts and 13 urban districts, has
been conducted by Idara-i-Taleem-o-Aagahi
(ITA) in collaboration with its partner
organisations for the fifth consecutive year.

The ASER survey was pioneered by India in 2005
and is now being conducted in eight countries
to assess their school students learning levels

RECOMMENDATIONS
All stakeholders including parents, communities,
children, teachers, goverment official to demand of action for
improvement of education down to village level as a sacred
national duty.
A grand mobilization is required at local, district,
provincial, national & international for imparting quality
education.
The daily use utility such as food prices be reduced to
access of common poor man at government level to
make people think for their children education.
Basic secondary education be made compulsory free
for all in a real term rather than for purpose of gaining
political point in public.
Civil societies organization be constituted nationwide
to pursuing realistic work on ground.

RECOMMENDATIONS

No politicization be accepted at any level with regard to
education.
Social Media be utilized at utmost to
revolutionized educational awakening which will ultimately
force the politicians to fulfill the public education demand.
Linkup with social media societies globally to get benefit
from their experiences.
District/provincial/federal education departments be
activated on emergent basis rather than playing a dormant
role.
Media, Media, MEDIA, MUST BE MOBILISED ON
EMERGENT STEPS TO ELIMINIATE ANY FURTHER POLITICAL
EXPLOITATION IN EDUCATION FIELD..
CONCLUSION
There is a dire need of comprehensive effort covering every
nook and corner to streamline quality education at national
forum down to district/tehsil /union council levels. It is now
high time to go with ghost/abandoned schools through out
the country.

The criteria for intake of quality teacher be standardized in
compatible with international standard and implemented
with letter and spirit. Funds priority be given special intention
to overcome infrastructure and other allied problems. But
political whim is must to look after such matters in each
constituencies. This can be further strengthened by
establishing proper civil society organisation national
wide.Socialmedia be made responsible to arise awakening of
education down to bud level.
