PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
Material Requirements
The contractor shall submit design mixes obtained from samples made in accordance with
Standard Method in Making and Curing Concrete Compression and Flexure Tests Specimen in the
Laboratory for each strength required, stating the proposed slump and the proportioning weights of
cement, saturated surface aggregates and water.

Method of Measurement
The area to be paid shall be the number of square meters of concrete pavement placed and
accepted in accordance with the Plans.

Materials
Materials to be used as poured filler for cracks in the Portland Cement Concrete Pavement shall be
85-10 Penetration Grade Asphalt Cement.

PIPE CULVERTS AND STORM DRAINS
Construction Requirements
The existing inlets and outlets shall be investigated in conformity with
the designed levels as indicated on the drawings.

MANHOLES, INLETS AND CATCH BASINS
Material Requirement
Reinforced Concrete for catch basin shall meet the construction
requirements of Reinforcing Steel and Structural Concrete.

CLEANING AND RECONDITIONING EXISTING DRAINAGE STRUCTURES
Construction Requirements
Clearing ad dredging of culverts may be done manually or mechanically
with the approval of the Engineer.
Method of Measurement
Pipe and box culverts cleaned in place will be measured in linear meter
per barrel line of pipe and/or box culverts acceptably cleaned and
reconditioned as directed.

RIPRAP AND GROUTED RIPRAP
Material Requirements
Stones shall consist of hard, durable bank or river stones, resistant to weather
action and free from seams or other defects.
Construction Requirements
The long ditch for lining works shall be excavated to a depth below the
established finished grade and to the width as shown in the drawing properly trimmed
and shaped as directed by the Engineer.
Method of Measurement
Riprap and Grouted riprap shall be measured by the cubic meter in place in the
completed work in accordance with the drawings.

PART J. MOBILIZATION AND
DEMOBILIZATION

Payment for complying with the provision of this item
shall be as certified by the Engineer that all the required
minimum equipment have been delivered at the site and at
the time the same have been removed from the project site.

For the purposes of estimates, the Contractor shall
calculate the cost of this item based on the following:
Total cost of Mobilization/Demobilization shall not exceed
2% of the total estimated direct cost of the civil works.
Payment for this item shall be made in two installments:
80% after the contractor has totally mobilized his
equipment and read for use and the remaining 20% after
the Contractor has finally completed his demobilization.

PART K. DAYWORK SCHEDULE

Basis of Payment
The Contractor will be paid for day work schedule carried
out during the course of the contract at the rates set down
in Proposal Book.
Day work rate quoted for labor shall include allowances for
complying with the labor law.
Rates of material used on day work schedule shall include
for delivery to the immediate working area and for
unloading.
Plant and equipment shall include the wages of drivers,
attendants an operators, maintenance in proper working
order at all times, attendance in starting up an shutting
down, all fuel power, oils, greases and cleaning materials.
