Software Upgrading Guide
2.1.1 Software Installation
Installation
As for the use of upgrading software, you do not need to install or register it
beforehand. To launch a program, you can just open the download folder and double-
click the file named FlashTool_E2.
Removal
To removal software, just remove the folder containing the software.
Data Cable
T128 data cable( Part code: 99040MPC) can be used for T156,but T156 data cable
( Part code: 96460011) can not be used in T128.

Software Upgrading Guide

Open the download folder and launch the FlashTool_E2 file by
double-clicking it. The window shown in Figure 1 appears.

Select the
S/W file
PC
COM
NO.

Step 1, Configure the upgrade tool
Step 2, Power off the handset and connect it to PC
Step 3, Click Start COM4,during booting showed ,press handset End Key,then the upgrade will be
started

Step 4: When the upgrade completed, take out the battery and put it in again, then
power on.
MMI Test Software Operation Guide

3.1Software Installation/Removal
Installation
You can use the MMI test software without installing or registering the software. Open MMI test
software folder and double-click CIT_TEST to run the file.
Removal
To removal software, just remove the folder containing the software.
MMI Test Software Operation Guide
Power on your T156 and then connect your T156 to a PC using a data cable. Launch the software. The
dialog box shown in the following figure appears.

Select the serial port to be used and click Connect to mobile. You can perform the test only after you are
prompted that the connection is established successfully.

Dialog box displayed when the connection is established successfully
Set Model name to T156. Start the test by clicking Start Test. The test items includes: Backlight,
Vibrator, SoundTest, LCDSIMLoop Backand Press key test, as shown in the following figure.

Test output information can also be stored in files. Click Save, as shown in the following
figure.

After the test is complete, you can quit the
software by closing the window and
disconnect your T156 from the PC.

Troubleshooting Power-on Faults

Power-on Circuit
The power-on circuit is just simple. As shown in the figure, the ON signal change to high because
it is connected to VTRC.

So the power-on procedure begins.
Troubleshooting Power-on Faults

Power-on faults include: power-on failure, charger power-on failure, large current power-on failure,
automatic power-on,
automatic
power-off, deadlock, and slow response.
Power-on failure:
a) Button failures cause 0mA current. Faults of this type are generally caused by power-on button failures
or power supply failures.
b) Software failures. In this case, the current is only tens of mA. Faults of this type are generally caused by
conflicts between hardware and software. In this case, you need to download the software again.
c) Power supply failures. The current goes to a value and remains the same. In this case, the LDO voltage
outputs are abnormal. You
can check the ground capacitors and the CPU.
Charger power-on failures: After the charger is connected to the cell phone, the power supply voltage
decreases. Check the grounding resistors to see if the MOS components or CPU are normal.
Large current power-on failure: Check the grounding resistors of the power supply output ends. Locate the
short-circuit points. Faults of this type are generally caused by CPU or SMT.
Automati power-on failure: Make sure the cell phone is in normal mode.
Automatic power-off failure: Check the voltage of LDO output ends. Make sure all of the LDO output ends
are normal.
Deadlock: Clear the user data in Flash. Download the software again. If the fault persists, substitute the CPU
with a new one.
Slow response: Faults of this type are generally caused by CPU or Flash problems.
Troubleshooting Display Faults

Display Circuit
As shown in the figure, the display circuit is powered by VIO. The data is transmitted through
IIC signal. It is also requires multiple control signals.

Troubleshooting Back Light Faults

Back Light Circuit
T156 adopt VBAT plus MOS control circuit to implement back light. The back light module
comprises U11, R1, R100, and C9.
The control pin is CON_LCM_LED. The corresponding wave is PWM signal.
