A poor diet can have an injurious impact on health, causing deficiency diseases such as scurvy, beriberi, and kwashiorkor; health- threatening conditions like obesity and metabolic syndrome, and such common chronic systemic diseases as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis.
A healthy diet should provide the body with all of the substances necessary to maintain growth,to keep in good health and to repair damage tissues.
Physical health Physical fitness refers to body health, and is the result of regular exercise, proper diet and nutrition, and proper rest for physical recovery.
Mental health Mental health describes either a level of cognitive or emotional well-being or an absence of a mental disorder.
