2 Corinthians 5:17-19
(Contemporary English Version)

17 Anyone who belongs to Christ is a new

person. The past is forgotten, and
everything is new. 18 God has done it all! He
sent Christ to make peace between himself
and us, and he has given us the work of
making peace between himself and others.
19 What we mean is that God was in Christ,
offering peace and forgiveness to the
people of this world. And he has given us
the work of sharing his message about
peace. CEV
Luke 2:8-10
8 And there were shepherds living out in the
fields nearby, keeping watch over their
flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord
appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord
shone around them, and they were terrified.
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be
afraid. I bring you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people. TNIV
Luke 2:13-14
13 Suddenly a great company of the
heavenly host appeared with the angel,
praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to
God in the highest heaven, and on earth
peace to those on whom his favor
rests.” TNIV
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I
give you. I do not give to you as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts be
troubled and do not be afraid. TNIV
John 20:19-21
19 On the evening of that first day of the
week, when the disciples were together,
with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish
leaders, Jesus came and stood among them
and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he
said this, he showed them his hands and
side. The disciples were overjoyed when
they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said,
“Peace be with you! As the Father has sent
me, I am sending you.” TNIV
