DBA RATING SCALE
1 : I did not understand this module at all and cannot
explain it confidently.
2: I did not understand most of the module and would
have trouble explaining it confidently.
3: I understood all or most of the module, but may have
trouble explaining it confidently.
4: I understand all of the module, and can explain it
confidently.
Module 1: Learning Goal
Students will be able to understand how to add,
subtract, multiply, divide fractions, mixed numbers,
and decimals. Interpret the meaning of the quotient,
use models and solve problems using division of
fractions and mixed numbers. Find the volume of
right rectangular prisms and model using fraction
length edges and unit cubes.
Module 2: Learning Goal
Students will be able to understand how to create
ratios, rates, equivalent ratios, find the percent of a
number, solve percent word problems, and convert
between units of measure.
Module 3: Learning Goal
Students will be able to find the LCM, GCF, utilize
positive and negative numbers and incorporate them
into real world situations, locate a number and its
opposite on a number line, find the absolute value,
order rational numbers, interpret statements of
inequalities by using a number line and write,
interpret, and explain statements of order in real
world contexts.
Module 4: Learning Goal
Students will be able to recognize, compare,
determine relationships about an ordered pair and
position rational numbers on a coordinate plane.
Decide whether two quantities are in a proportional
relationship and explain the characteristics of the
graph.
Module 5: Learning Goal
Students will be able to solve problems involving
area of triangles, use composition and
decomposition to determine the area of
quadrilaterals, solve problems involving area of
polygons on a coordinate plane, use nets to solve
real-world and mathematical problems about surface
area and three-dimensional figures.

Module 6: Learning Goal
Students will be able to understand how to write,
evaluate, solve numerical expressions with and
without exponents, and generate equivalent
expressions using the algebraic properties.
Module 7: Learning Goal
Students will be able to determine whether a given
number in a specified set makes an equation or
inequality true. Define, write, and apply inverse
operations to solve addition, subtraction,
multiplication or division equations. Recognize and
represent the solution to an inequality on a number
line and show the relationship between two variables
using tables and equations.
Module 8: Learning Goal
Students will be able to understand how to write a
statistical question, calculate the measures of central
tendency, describe data by its center and spread,
display data in various forms (dot plot, histogram,
box plots) and identify outliers and determine their
effect on measurements of data.
